Welcome from Gordon Ng
Gordon, the founder of Pi Tutorial in Arcadia (2009), holds a Bachelor's degree with honors in Electrical Engineering and has over 10 years of professional experience as an engineer. He began tutoring math in Hong Kong in the 1990s before expanding to Arcadia, California.

Gordon’s passion for math and dedication to his students have made him both an academic guide and a mentor, inspiring many through his love of mathematics.

Mr. Hagen
Senior English Instructor
Mr. Hagen graduated from the distinguished UCLA and Princeton University with a major in English. His mastery of literary analysis is coupled with more than 25 years of teaching the reading and writing sections of the SAT.
Michelle Wong
Pi Instructor
Michelle graduated from UCLA with a degree in Biology. She specializes in teaching national assessment tests including AP Biology and the SAT Biology Subject Test. Michelle continues to enhance Pi Tutorial's quality and scope of higher education with many years of tutoring experience.
Sabrina Yip
Pi Instructor
One of the newer additions to the Pi team, Sabrina graduated from UCI with a degree in Human Biology. She brings a fresh perspective to the Tutorial team along with an unyielding passion for tutoring.
Allen Chan
Senior Math Instructor
Allen graduated from Occidental College with a degree in Mathematics and from Cal Poly Pomona with a degree in Applied Mathematics. With 10 years as a university instructor and more than 12 years teaching in local afterschool facilities, it's no wonder he received Tutor of the Year under the Asian American Tutorial Project.
Felipe Rivas

Felipe graduated from UC Santa Cruz, majored in Astrophysics, and scored within the top percentile of his graduate school admissions. His success with teaching students is complemented by a passion for tutoring and many years of experience tutoring students from all walks of life.
Joe Ruberry
Pi Instructor
Joe graduated from UCLA with a degree in Chemistry. During his college career, he conducted research with multiple UCLA professors and even volunteered as a lab assistant at USC. With experience publishing a paper in the Journal of Chemical Education and extensive computational skills, Joe brings a diverse and comprehensive skill set to Pi Tutorial.
